What Do Fitness Pros Eat When They’re In A Rush?
Cooking tasty and healthy meals to complement your training doesn’t have to take all day.
To give you some inspiration, we asked 3 Purify trainers to reveal their favourite quick meals. Keep reading to add some tasty new recipes to your locker.
Elizabeth’s Cauliflower Protein Kick
I absolutely love egg fried rice but instead of noodles or rice, I swap them out with cauliflower. 200g of grated cauliflower, a couple of eggs and some veg of your choice. I usually use peas, sweetcorn, spring onions & peppers.
You can add some prawns for an extra protein kick. Plus you can chuck in some garlic, soy sauce and toasted sesame oil too.
Yum 😋
Isaac’s Quick and Easy Meals
My Go-to start to the day would be oats with a banana. It’s quick and easy. Which is handy because I eat breakfast at around 5:30am on weekdays!
I personally prefer to cook my lunches the night before. If not leftovers from dinner the night before, I mainly go basic with chicken and rice. I’m not much of a snack person but if any… it would be nuts for sure!
Jonathan’s Grilled Chicken Stir-Fry
My favourite meal is stir fried rice with grilled Bell peppers, courgette, asparagus, tomatoes and mushrooms with Grilled Chicken. It might seem a lot but it’s actually very easy to make.
To get started, cook the rice and pan fry some onions and peas. Then mix the two together with some soy sauce.
The next step is preparing your chicken and vegetables. I like to season them with some salt, black peppers, all purpose season and chill flakes. You can drizzle a bit of oil if you like.
Whack the chicken and vegetables on a tray with some foil. Then use the oven to grill it for 15 to 20 minutes.
That’s it, enjoy!
